GOD’S SEAL

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:1-14

“Now he which stablisheth us with you
in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;
who hath also sealed us, and given the
earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.”
2 Corinthians 1:21-22 (KJV)

In ancient times, and also in some cultures, kings embossed  their royal seal on documents to close them. It was used to prove the authenticity of the document and the authority of the bearer of the seal. The bearer wields the same power and influence that the ruler,
who is owner of the seal, does.
Kingdoms have particular marks with which their citizens were identified.In God’s Kingdom, the Holy Spirit is the Seal.

With the Holy Spirit, God puts his seal of ownership upon you. The bible says except a man is born of the spirit, he cannot enter God’s kingdom (John 3:5). You need the Holy Spirit to live in the spirit. You need the seal of the Holy Spirit to shield and protect you from the fiery darts of the enemy. You need the seal of the Holy Spirit to carry and wield God’s influence on earth. The believer who does not carry this seal is subject to the oppression of the enemy.

The Holy Spirit is the unique seal that brands every believer as God’s property (2 Corinthians
1:21-22) and keeps your life off-limits from the prince of this world. Desire the baptism of the Holy Spirit evidenced by speaking in tongues. Boldly display his seal by praying in the spirit regularly (1 Corinthians 14:36). Do not be afraid to exercise your authority and dominion because you carry God’s seal upon your life. Take advantage of God’s seal upon you and repel every exploit of the enemy.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to exercise the authority of your seal without fear in Jesus name.

FAITH BYTE: I carry the seal of God, therefore, my life is off-limits for the enemy
