CALL, HE WILL ANSWER

Scripture: Judges 6:1-10
“Call to Me and I will answer you, and tell you [and even show you] great and mighty things, [things which have been confined and hidden], which you do not know and understand and cannot distinguish.”   Jeremiah 33:3 (AMP)

God is more eager to communicate with us than we are, with him. It does not matter how far we have fallen, he seeks every opportunity to take us back. Though we may be slow to return to him, he is never slow to respond. When we cry out to him, he moves in mercy and love towards us. The wonderful thing about God is that anytime we call on him, he answers.

The children of Israel lived in sin for many years and did what was evil in the sight of the Lord (v1). They worshipped other gods and lived in ways that did not please him. What followed were hardship, starvation and oppression from other nations. But the moment they cried to God, he responded. God sent a prophet to call them back to total surrender and full devotion. The children of Israel reached the peak of misery before returning to God. They could have avoided this if they had sought God earlier.

Turning to God should not be our last resort; we should look to Him for help daily. The bible says if we seek God’s face and turn from our wicked ways, he will hear, forgive and heal our land (2 Chron. 7:14). Is there something preventing you from returning to God or having an intimate relationship with him? Do not hesitate anymore because he has given you an express invitation to come back. You are guaranteed restoration if you come to him.

PRAYER:
Lord, I make you first in my life, in Jesus name, amen.

FAITH BYTE:
Others trust in their horses and chariots but I trust in the Lord God of heaven and earth who is able to save and deliver me.
