Scripture: Luke 7:1-5
"And a certain centurions' servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die...beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant". Luke 7:2-3 (KJV)
Relationships oil the engine of life. As humans, we cannot afford to isolate ourselves from engaging and interacting with others. The key, to maintaining good relationships is how we treat others. Some have taken to the habit of treating others harshly and without empathy. This does not please God as his desire is that we treat others with care and love because we are all created in his image and likeness.
The centurion had a servant who was sick and was at the point of death. It took a good relationship between a servant and his master for the master to seek for help. The bible records that his servant was dear to him (vs2). Namaan's wife also had a good relationship with her maid and that's why the girl was able to give information that led to Naaman's healing (2 Kgs. 5:3). Their good relationships brought about healing to the servant and master respectively.
As a boss, how have you been treating your maid or employee? As an employee, do you want to pay back the evil done to you by your employer? Seek to build godly and healthy relationships. Then see God step into that stormy situation that has lingered in your life. God is able to help you cultivate good relationships.
PRAYER:
Lord, help me to build good relationships with everyone around me in Jesus name.
FAITH BYTE:
I build good and healthy relationships by the grace of God.
