ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR SOURCE

Scripture: Judges 11:9-11

“Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” Psalms 124:8 (KJV)

Jephthah acknowledged God as his source of victory. He knew that his victory over the Ammonites would not have been possible if he had relied on his human power and strength rather than on the power of God.He was confident of what God could use his leadership to achieve
for Israel. He trusted in God to give his enemies over to him. When he let God work through him, he did not struggle to defeat the Ammonites, God did the fighting and gave the enemies over to him.

Just like for Jephthah, the path to victory in any endeavour can be fraught with many battles. At such times, we can call on the Lord for help. We can ask him to fight our battles. We can declare that the battle is the Lord’s. Indeed, we cannot fight our arch enemy, the devil, by our own strength. It may seem logical and sensible to depend on our strength and that of those we can see but without God, we can truly do nothing. Through every battle, God is the one that brings our triumph (2 Cor. 2:1).

We should always remember to acknowledge God as the source of our success, strength, business, income, miracles and happiness because it is in him that we move and have our being. We must continually bless him for all we are and have and he in turn will greatly bless and enrich our lives. We must never take the glory due to him no matter what.

PRAYER: Lord, take glory for all that has taken place in my life in Jesus name.

FAITH BYTE: Jesus is the source of my life and he makes me prosper in all things.
