YIELD TO THE SPIRIT

Scripture: Esther 2:8-15

“…and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.” Romans 10:3 (KJV)

In the passage above, when it was the turn of a virgin to go before the king, she was given whatever she wanted and it was hers to keep. All the virgins asked for as much as they could have but Esther’s case was different. She asked for nothing other than what Hegai had recommended (v15).
She understood that Hegai had been working with the king and would know the heart of the king. She submitted to his guidance and desired to please the king and not what will benefit her. She yielded to Hegai and God favoured her before the king.

This is the work of the Holy Spirit in our life. He reveals the heart of the Father to us and if we yield to His leading, He will guide us to a prosperous Christian experience. If we desire to please God, we must yield to the leading of the Spirit in all things and be ready to obey his instructions

The bible says when the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all truth (Jn. 16:13). For proper guidance to take place, there must be a willingness on the part of the ward to follow the instructions of the guardian. He is to teach us all things. Let us not live for our own self-will and desires; let us live to please God. Let us yield to the Holy Spirit in all things.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to remain yielded to your will your ways in Jesus name.

FAITH BYTE:I live a victorious Christian life because I am led by the spirit of God.
