STAND AGAINST EVIL

Scripture: Judges 20:1-14

“Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them” Romans 1:32 (KJV)

Iniquity abounds in the world today. People publicly and blatantly display evil yet many choose to support or stay silent about it. Some give the excuse that they do not wish to judge others and, therefore, fail to expose ungodly actions.
As believers, we must not condone evil but raise our voices against it. If God hates evil, then we must do the same and rebuke wrongdoing in love.

The sin of the men of Gibeah was that of rape and murder and their action was worthy of death (v5). The sin of the tribe of Benjamin was that they protected these men and did nothing about the crime the men of Gibeah had committed. Their failure to act against such wrong could have encouraged and emboldened others to perpetrate the same crime believing they would also go scot free.

We cannot choose to be silent in the face of evil. Our silence will be interpreted as tacit agreement. We must speak out against evil and condemn every action that is contrary to the word of God. We should not choose to be politically correct while being disobedient to God. When Peter and John were asked to be silent they said it was better to obey God than man (Acts 4:18-20). The same must be our testimony.

PRAYER:Lord, make me an impossible equation that the devil cannot solve, in Jesus name.

FAITH BYTE:I stand firm against all the wiles of the devil. I am victorious in all I do.
