Scripture: Proverbs 16:1-3
“I have the right to do anything,’
you say-but not everything is beneficial.”
1 Corinthians 6:12a (NIV)
There are consequences for every action you take (Proverbs 14:14). Some may manifest here while others may not until judgment day. However, one thing is certain; you will give account of and reap a reward for every deed you have done (2 Corinthians 5:10) and every word uttered (Matthew 12:36).
God gave humans the freedom of choice to make and not to mar their lives. Do not abuse this privilege by assuming that your life is yours and therefore, you are answerable to no one (1Corinthians 6:12a).
God has a say in all you do. No amount of human understanding, scheming, strategizing, or planning can ever supersede divine direction. It is only by consistent submission to God’s way that you are assured of constant victory over the trials and challenges of life (2 Samuel 22:31).
Check your decisions and actions with God’s word to ensure that you conform to God’s standard for living (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Also do not discountenance the men and women in authority over you. They are actually a part of your first opportunity to honour God in your life concerning the issue of accountability. Shun the habit of making decisions, taking actions and doing things your way with zero accountability and deference to God (Proverbs 14:12).
PRAYER: Lord, remove every selfish and proud attitude that hinders me from being accountable to you in Jesus name.
FAITH BYTE: From now onwards, I submit my decisions and ways to God therefore, I enjoy all round favour and success.
