DESPISE LAZINESS

Scripture: Proverbs 24:33-34
”I must work the work of him that sent me, while it is day…..”  John 9:4 (KJV)

Laziness is not a trait humans are born with. It is a bad habit that people develop from procrastination and lack of discipline over a period of time. God has created us in his likeness of creativity and fruitfulness, therefore, laziness is a trait that God does not endorse because it does not lead to the progress that will cause us to be fruitful like God wants us to be.

Laziness is instrumental to poverty (v33-34). If we allow the habit of laziness and not doing what we ought to do at the right time in our lives, we gradually invite poverty and lack of productivity into our lives and ultimately disappoint God by not fulfilling destiny. Sometimes, we may get discouraged when we make efforts and they do not seem to work out the way we desire or envision. We must refuse to be discouraged and continue to press on because God has called us to multiply, replenish and dominate the earth.

Hard work pays! As believers, we must live exemplary lives to the world by being hardworking and putting away procrastination. God has placed us on earth to fulfill purpose and we must work like we appreciate the chance that he has given us to be counted among the living on earth. If we want to achieve God’s purpose in our lives and receive his blessings, we must despise and put away all forms of laziness and get on with the work that God has called us to do here on earth.

PRAYER:
Lord, let every form of laziness and indiscipline be uprooted from my life, in Jesus name.

FAITH BYTE:
I am a fruitful child of God and laziness is far from me.
