Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:12-27
"And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain;
ye are yet in your sins......" 1 Corinthians 15:17 (KJV)
Various scholars have challenged the historical fact of Jesus' brutal execution on a Roman cross two millennia ago. Some claim that Jesus never really died on the cross (viz the Koran). Some claim that Jesus actually fled to India. Infact, there is an existing tomb in Kashmir referred to by these Muslims as the true burial site of Jesus (viz Ahmadiya Muslims).
Others claim that He fainted from exhaustion on the cross and was merely resuscitated rather than resurrected (viz Karl Bahrdt, Karl Venturini et al). All of these are Satan's struggle to cast shadows of doubt on the authority of the death and resurrection of the saviour of mankind. If you swallow their lies, your very foundation will become faulty. Strong faith emanates from faultless, pure foundation. Buildings resting on faulty foundations crumble under pressure.
Modern increases in knowledge in various fields of science and archaeology have revealed more and more, the accuracy of the scripture. The Word of God is true historically and scientifically; believe it entirely. "....Without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory" 1 Tim.3:16
PRAYER: Thank you Lord for executing the plan of the redemption.
FAITH BYTE: I believe that Christ was raised from the dead. I am alive with Him.
