“Today I have given you the choice between life and
death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness
the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your
descendants might live” Deut 30:19 (NLT)
Each choice you make in life has its consequence. The
choice you make today will ultimately create your future. It will either give
you blessings or curses. It can either be for your benefit or work your
disadvantage. In other words, you either get better or worse from the choices
you make. Proverbs 14:12 says “there is a way which seemeth right unto man, but
the end thereof are the ways of death” God created you in His own image so that
you will have fellowship with Him and have abundant life. He also gave you a
will and a freedom of choice either to obey or disobey Him.
Reflections: Have I ever made
choices that I later suffer their consequences?
You should always avoid decisions that will detract you
from putting God and His righteousness first in your life. When you rebel
against God and choose your own way, you are choosing a path of destruction. God
gave us His word to help us make the right choice in life. You must make
word-based decisions; and the word will always be true. Each time you make a
decision, you make your future and invariable decide your eternity.
God is always willing to guide and direct you. You
should depend on him to lead you through the right path. You have the liberty
of making your own choices but the final verdict comes from God when you commit
your decisions to Him in prayers. +Austin Imoru
